Create An Invisible Folder

Everyone knows about Hidden Folders but with a simple trick, you can create an invisible folder. No Software is Required. Just follow the steps.

  • Right, Click on the folder you want to make invisible and select Rename.

  • Backspace the name which was given before and type Alt + 0160 (keep pressing Alt and then type 0, 1,6, 0 one by one in the same order) and press Enter. You will see there is no name for the folder and windows has accepted the name.
If you want to know more about Keyboard ShortcutsClick here!
  • Now again Right Click on the folder and select Properties.
  • Go to the Customize option from the top and select Change Icon....

  • Find the Folder icon with blank as shown in the figure (You can choose anyone from three, in my case the second one worked) and click OK

  • Done! Now your folder is invisible.

Alert: Except in the Large Icon and Extra-Large Icon view mode, you will not even see the borderline.
